leaders in the construction industry saw a need for professional
recognition for key management positions. Equally important was the need to
enhance the demand and supply of continuous management training in order to
keep construction managers abreast of changing technologies and practices.
The solution was the development of the Gold Seal Certification program and
its introduction by the Canadian Construction Association in 1993.
Since that time
thousands of Construction Superintendents, Estimators and Project Managers
have received gold seal certification in their discipline under the
program. The Construction Association of New Brunswick was recently
recognized by CCA for its part in the development of the program in the
early 1990’s. It was also noted that our province has the highest
number of gold seal certificates per capita compared to all jurisdictions
in Canada.
